Abstract

One of the forms of improving the effectiveness of students' training in computer information technology is the Olympiads. Maintenance and support promote the increase of students' involvement in the process of preparation and participation in Olympiads, creating conditions for the formation and development of students' motivation in order to achieve success, search for new solutions. Participation in Olympiads promotes the development and implementation of new computer technologies in the educational process. Students develop such personal qualities as persistence, technical thinking, and creative initiative. Their self-esteem also increases. The paper aims to share the experience of participation in the All-Russian Olympiads, the process of preparation, and analysis of the Olympiad tasks. It also focuses on the activities for promoting students' involvement in the educational process – participation in innovative projects, Olympiads, research work.
