The article presents information on the effect of metakaolin additives on the properties hydraulic lime-based mortars used for the restoration of historic buildings. The effect of metakaolin additives on compressive strength and adhesion to brick surfaces is considered. It has been found that the addition of metakaolin MK increases the compressive strength of mortar under air-dry conditions by 1.859–2.0 times, depending on the setting age. An increase in the adhesion strength from 0.3 MPa to 0.5 MPa has been revealed with a 10% content of methakaolin.Downloads
