Abstract

Nowadays in the reference one can find a lot of information about the analytic modelling
and mathematical estimation of the growth of cracks at variable amplitude of tension. However,
it doesn’t give the opportunity to reach the accuracy of forecasting for fatigue crack
growth due to model imperfection for estimation of the plastic flow zone size under tension
overload. Nowadays there is no theoretical basis to describe the zone of plasticity accurately
and there are no theoretical methods to give precise estimation of the plastic zone size.
