FORMATION AND SPECIFICS OF THE PLANNING STRUCTURE OF THE LINEAR DISTRICT OF PROKOPYEVSK IN 1925–2020

Historical and natural conditions for the formation of the spatial planning structure of the linear district of Prokopyevsk, which has undergone minor changes since the begin-ning of the 18th century, are examined in the article. Intensive change in the planning structure and the active merging of some settlements along the unified axis - stream bed of the partly mountain Aba river, as well as the consolidation of buildings, occurred in the beginning of the 20th century: the period of active development of the coal industry. The main feature of the layout of the oldest district of the city is determined, reasons for the linear organization of the housing development are examined, and value characteristics of the housing development are identified.References
