Abstract

The papers considers the dependence of sand molding and core mixtures’ strength on mixture humidity. It is established that the main factor in the formation of strength of synthetic sand-clay mixtures is the ratio between electrostatic and molecular forces, which exhibit maximum efficiency in different ranges of humidity.
