Abstract

The article considers the question of evaluation of the plastic properties of sand mixtures. The method of determination of the “flow index” is worked out. The developed method allows to define more precisely the influence of different additives (especially in small amounts) on the plastic properties of mixtures and to select the optimal amount of additives to produce quality forms with a clear imprint of the model and required physical and chemical properties of the mixtures.
