The article deals with the influence of increasing the electroslag remelting speed on the quality and properties of the produced metal. The study focuses on the changes in the mechanical characteristics of rolled products and the level of contamination of steel with nonmetallic inclusions at different remelting speeds. Experimental data obtained during remeltings of a structural steel grades are analyzed, and conclusions are drawn about possible advantages and disadvantages of increasing the process speed. The results of the study can be useful for optimization of technological parameters of electroslag remelting in the metallurgical industry.Downloads
