Abstract
The paper presents the analysis of effectiveness of various types of finite elements in the modal analysis of welded metal frames, the effect of dashed welds on the spectrum of the natural frequency of metal frames is analyzed; and methods of their modeling are worked out to reduce the time of preparing finite element models significantly.
