About Atomized Liquid Fuel Burning

Yu. M. Goldobin, P. S. Kuznetsov

Abstract

Based on the kinetic equation and the resulting burning rate of a single drop, current and initial function of particle radius distribution for the self-similar burning mode have been developed. The drop burning rate has been obtained for the case of conductive heat supply from the combustion front to the drop surface. The obtained equation is used to calculate the percentage of unburned fuel at the current moment and the polydisperse drop system combustion.
