Authors are not charged for manuscript processing and publication in the journal; the Publisher bears all the necessary costs. Each research team is mailed a free printed copy of the journal issue with their paper.
MANUSCRIPT GUIDELINES
Preparing your paper for submission it is essential to use the following guidelines. In case of not meeting these requirements manuscript can be rejected by the editorial board for submission.
Reference to unpublished articles is prohibited.
The size of a document considered as a paper to submit should be:
Survey papers — up to 20 pages.
Papers — up to 12 pages.
Brief papers — up to 4 pages.Papers containing more amount of pages can be submitted as an exception by the Editor’s decision only.
The paper should be structured containing the following features:
- Introduction;
- Relevance, scientific significance of the issue with a brief review of literature;
- Setting of the problem;
- Theoretical part;
- Practical significance, suggestions, results of experimental experiments and implementation;
- Conclusion.
It is important to attach the following information and send it to the editorial board for submission:
- Title;
- Author(s) (full name(s));
- Affiliations;
- Contact information;
- Abstract – from 120 to 250 words. The abstract should serve as a summary presenting the conclusions and all results of general interest in the article. In addition to that, the abstract should not contain displayed mathematical equations, footnotes, references, graphics, or tabular material.
- Key words – up to 7 words or expressions. The key words or expressions should be separated by commas;
- Universal decimal classification codes;
- References – All publications cited in the text should be present in a list of references following the text of the manuscript (see references.doc). All references should to be numbered consecutively and presented in enclosed square brackets format (e.g. [1], [1, 2], [1, 2–4]). All references to books and journal articles are to be listed at the end of the paper. References to unpublished sources are forbidden. It is recommended to use approximately 20-30 sources.
At the end of the article a list of references are to be given. Here should be the sources which the author makes reference to.
As it mentioned above, it is recommended to use the general guidelines preparing your paper.
Microsoft Word DOC file formats are acceptable. The manuscript should be set up on A4 format with the text arranged in one column and having the following parameters: top edge – 2.5 cm, bottom edge – 2.5 cm, left edge – 2.5 cm, right edge – 1.5 cm. Using font style is Times New Roman 14, with width alignment, first line – 0.7 cm and zero spacing between paragraphs.
Equations should be set up by equations editor embedded in MS Word 2007. Usage of Cyrillic script is not encouraged. Furthermore, equations need to be numbered on the right (in round brackets). However, it is appropriate to number equations that are mentioned in the text only. Explanations of designations used in equations are located in the order in which they appear in text. Continuous numbering should be used for equations, theorems, lemmas, definitions, etc.
Figures. If you embed figures in place in your article-text file, you will be asked to upload individual figure files should your paper be accepted for publication. Figures should accompany the manuscript. From 300 to 600 resolution is recommended (TIF, JPG, BMP, CDR formats are acceptable). Each figure should be vivid and high quality.
Tables. Tables should be numbered consecutively (having a title and, then, a number of table). Furthermore, tables should be given a suitable caption located below title without any space (centre alignment).
The size of text used in equations, tables, captions, footnotes should be the same. The font style of subtitles should be identical to the main text font style. All figures and tables in paper should have references.
Preparing your manuscript it is not recommended to use line brakes, page breaks, space usage more than one time, etc. It is proper to use automatic word break placing and unified sample for the whole document. French quotation marks are used only in paper.
Hyphen is for complex words. Dash is served for setting range limits (for instance, 15–20, XIX–XX centuries). In this case, there is no space before and after the dash. Moreover, dash can be as minus in equations. Decimal numbers are typed by comma, not dot.
Rules of registration of sources
The list of references in English starts with the word «References».
All the information on the publication should be given in the description of the reference, namely the list of authors, the name of the article, the name of the journal, year of issue, volume, issue number, and pages. DOI is compulsory if available.
The list of references in English commences with the word “References” and replicates the list of references in Russian.
If article author refers to is translated in English and published in English version of journal it necessary to refer to translated version of article.
It should be found in http://elibrary.ru or diverse databases such as http://www.scopus.com, ,http://link.springer.com etc. If the publication has no translated version the original language is used in the description of the reference. The transliterated version of the reference is also given in this case accompanied by the translation into English in square brackets. The most appropriate service for transliteration is site http://www.translit.ru where it is needed to choose BGN transliteration system from list “choices”.
For publication in English, Dutch, French or other languages based on Roman alphabet should not be translated but it is essential to enlist references as it illustrates in samples.
You can find samples of references in file “References.doc”.
