Abstract


It has been found that N-allylquinolinium hydroxide at chromatography mass  spectrometry conditions undergoes thermal destruction with formation of quinoline, 1-allyl-2-hydroxy-1,2-dihydroquinoline, 1-allyl-4-hydroxy-1,4-dihydroquinoline, 1-allyl-2-quinolone, 1-allyl-4-quinolone, 1-allyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline, 1-allyl-1,4-dihydroquinoline and pirrolo[1,2-a]quinoline.
