Reaction of pentaphenylantimony with bis(ferrocenecarboxylato)triphenylantimony

Abstract

The interaction of pentaphenylantimony with bis(ferrocenecarboxylate)triphenylantimony (1) in toluene gave tetraphenylantimony ferrocenecarboxylate (2) in 91 % yield, which was also synthesized by dephenylation of pentaphenylantimony with ferrocenecarboxylic acid in 93 % yield. Compounds 1, 2 were identified by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy.
