Abstract

The present review deals with various derivatives of 1,3,5-triazinones and 1,3,5-triazinethiones. The review provides comprehensive discussion of synthetic approaches to the synthesis of s triazinones(thiones) and their O-(S-)derivatives, as well as the potential for their practical application. Currently, 1,3,5-triazinones(thiones) and their derivatives are widely used in various fields: agriculture, industry, pharmaceutical production, organic synthesis, and production of highly porous covalent triazine frameworks with various properties. Due to the strong interest in these heterocyclic systems, driven by their high biological activity and widespread use of compounds with the 1,3,5-triazine framework, we have searched, analyzed, and systematized available literature sources from 1952 to 2025, including patent documents
