Abstract

The article is devoted to substantiating the transition from the automation of classical educational tools to the implementation of adaptive educational models based on intelligent control systems. The need for such processes is caused by the transition to Industry 5.0, which implies a fundamental transformation of traditional engineering education. The purpose of this research is to develop and justify a model for transforming the educational process in an engineering university (using the example of geometric and graphic training) in the context of total digitalization. Materials and methods. The article explores the methods of system analysis, approaches to data-driven management, and the concept of intelligent advising and predictive analytics as the foundation for supporting the educational process. Results. The article substantiates the role of AI's intellectual mediation between the specified educational standards and the individual characteristics of the student, and proposes a mechanism for “live communication” between the educational process and the real sector of the economy through software agents. The article discusses the functionality of digital tools and provides examples of their use in supporting the process of geometric and graphic training for students. The practical value of the work is focused on improving the internal system of a higher education institution. The tools of intelligent advising allow universities to automate the monitoring of the quality of education, minimize the risks of dropout by predicting the difficulties of students, and optimize the distribution of pedagogical resources. Conclusion. The proposed tools of intelligent advising and management models can be integrated into the educational programs of engineering universities to improve the quality of training specialists, reduce the period of their adaptation in high-tech production, and synchronize the planned educational results with the demands of the digital industry.
