ON THE PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONAL TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS CENTERS UNDER CONDITIONS OF ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT CORRIDORS

Abstract

The article considers the prospects of development of regional transport and logistics centers. The necessity of development of effective transport and logistics system of Russia for integration into international transport and logistics space is proved. The index of logistics attractiveness of Russia, as well as comparative analysis of these indicators with indicators of People's Republic of China is given. The lack of common interpretation and understanding of the term «Transport and logistics center» both in Russia, and in the countries of Europe is shown. Classification of characteristic of the transport and logistics center is highlighted. The authors study the current state of warehouses spaces in the regions of the Russian Federation on the basis of which the development of transport and logistics centers is planned. The experience of foreign countries in creation of the transport and logistics centers is analyzed. Data on development of transport and logistics system of Europe are provided. The necessity of using a geographical position of Russia for effective realization of transit potential of the country is proved. The terms of main routes of international transport corridors are shown. Classification of international transport corridors including passing through the territory of the Russian Federation is carried out. The directions of development of international transport corridors realized within the programs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, features of participation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in development of the international transport corridor «Silk way», and also prospects of development of the transport and logistics directions on the territory of Russia are shown. The areas of «refraction» in regions of the Russian Federation with a low level of development of transport infrastructure are considered. The conclusion on the need of active development of transport and logistics centers for large transport hubs of our country on the way of international transport corridors for achievement of possibility of integration of domestic logistics in the international transport and logistics space is made.
