Abstract

Over the past 85 years it has been published over 1,450 scientific articles, reports, books dedicated to
the management career. The analysis of literary sources has showed that the majority of works deals with an
age aspect of the career. Many researchers consider the career as a forward motion on the stairs to the top.
However, these stairs supposedly have only two steps – at 25 and 39 years old. The first segment starts from
the moment of studying at higher educational institutions (about 22 years) and ends at the age of 27. At this
age a person is goal-oriented as an employee. This period happen to have a maximum point for the index of
intelligence (IQ), physical and communication abilities.
After 27 years, as a rule, a person moves to an administrative position, where he reaches a maximum at
39 years. This may be connected with the increase in adaptation to working conditions, accumulated experience,
cooperation with reliable partners, etc. However, there is a downward trend in physical, communicative
characteristics by innovative changes of working conditions, etc. The worker shows his best results in 6
years after he starts working within the specialty.
Due to a large number of interacting factors, the model has originally been tested in the field of high
performance sport. We have encountered a regular occurrence through the example of football referees, toplevel
coaches in hockey and soccer. Also, there is regularity in the activity of survey companies in the Russian
building complex. The authors have introduced an appropriate assessment in the companies rating.
