COMPACT ACCELERATOR FOR BALLISTIC TESTING

Abstract

The stand for acceleration of projectiles of 2,2 g with terminal velocity
up to 700 m/s by using standard industrial cartridge was developed. During investigation of ballistic characteristics of targets there are measured initial velocity
and residual momentum of projectile with use of original catcher. Compactness
and simplicity of accelerator allows to use it for scientific and educational
purposes.
