SHAKEDOWN THEORY AND ITS PRACTICAL APPLICATION (ON THE 100th ANNIVERSARY OF THIS SECTION OF MECHANICS AND THE 50th ANNIVERSARY OF ITS DEVELOPMENT IN CHPI – CHSTU – SUSU)

Abstract

Review of research on shakedown of structures, made in Russia. The basic features
of the Russian (first of all – Chelyabinsk) scientific school is emphasized: differentiated approach to qualitatively different processes of inelastic deformation and practical application of new theoretical results. A number of new research directions in mechanics of low cycle deformation and fracture are analyzed, concerning to researches of elastic and inelastic shakedown fulfiled in SUSU.
