Ethnocultural processes in North Razakhstan (the second half of the i millennium bc)

Abstract

Significant changes took place in the funerary rite, composition and position of the grave goods
of nomads in North Kazakhstan at the end of V—IV centuries BC. The reasons are not only in inner transformations of society. It’s also a result of moving on the West a group of relative groups from Eastern Turkestan. Subsequently a part of nomadic tribes migrated from territory of South Trans-Urals to North Kazakhstan; as a result “Sarmatian” features were secured in funerary rate of nomads of North Kazakhstan. Another migratory wave of nomads of Central Eurasia on the West was at the second half of III century BC. This wave also determined the further transformation of funerary rite of Ural-Kazakhstan steppes’ population.
