Abstract

The article is devoted to the relevant criminal proceedings subject, namely to the analysis of changes introduced into article 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code by Federal law № 23-ФЗ «On amending articles 62 and 303 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation» of March 4, 2013. The article analyzes new additional means of preliminary verification of the claim (message) on the crime, problems which take place at verification of the messages about crime, as well as the possibility to prove with the help of additional means, conducting of pre-investigation check. On the basis of the studied materials, a number of amendments in article 5, 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation and in articles 307, 308, 309 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is given.
