  • Rules for the design of sources in the list of references in English

    The list of sources is a mandatory element of the article; it is formed at the end of the article in alphabetical order - according to GOST R7.0.5, and then in English. It is undesirable to include Decrees, Laws, etc. in the list of references; it is better to indicate them in the text of the article.
    To translate (transliterate) the list of references into English, you should enter the site https://www.translitteration.com/transliteration/en/russian/iso-9/.
    1. Insert a list of references in Russian into a special field (English script).
    2. Copy the transliterated text into the upcoming list in English.
    3. Translate the title of the book, article into English using Google translator, transfer it to the upcoming list in square brackets (behind the transliterated title).
    4. Convert the transliterated link:
    - remove special separators (//, -);
    - write the place of publication in full (Moscow);
    - correct the designation of the pages into English (instead of 172 s. - 172 p.);
    - full name of the source (book, journal, collection or conference title) in transliteration – highlighted in italics;
    - all main output data (volume designation, page numbers, place of publication - city) must be presented in English.

  • Recommendations for preparing an abstract

    The abstract of the article should be a brief summary of the work, which should be understandable without referring to the publication itself, and is also interesting to the foreign scientific community, which, without knowing the Russian language, could get the most complete idea of the topic without referring to the full text and, accordingly, quote publications that interest them. Abstracts should be (in Russian and English):
    - informative (do not contain common words);
    - meaningful (reflect the main content of the article and the results of research);
    - structured (follow the logic of the description of the results in the article);
    - compact, but not short (250 words).
    Next - keywords (5–7 words from the text by which the article can be identified) (in Russian and English).
    The abstract shall include:
    1. subject and purpose of the work (if they do not follow from the title of the article);
    2. differences between this publication and others similar in topic;
    3. scope of the results;
    4. conclusions, recommendations, prospects for the development of the work.
    The abstract should avoid unnecessary introductory phrases (for example, “the author of the article considers...”, “the author believes...”, etc.), as well as complex grammatical constructions. The abstract should be written in as concise, precise and simple language as possible. It should be understandable to a wide range of readers, so it should not be replete with scientific terms. Public information and clichés should be avoided. The abstract should not include quotes from the text of the article. The abstract usually uses constructions of a stating nature (the author analyzes, proves, expounds, substantiates, etc.), as well as evaluative standard phrases (focuses on an important topical issue, problem, analyzes in detail, convincingly proves). The following technique for assessing the quality of abstracts is known. Translate the abstract into English with any automatic translator, and then with the same translator back into Russian. If you can understand the resulting text, then the abstract will be normally perceived by readers.
