Abstract

The article examines the historical features of the development of the Brazilian state
that determined its structure, identifies the constitutional and legal foundations of Brazilian postsecularism, analyzes the statistics of anti-religious crimes and judicial practice in cases of violation
of religious freedom. The purpose of the study is to identify the risks of legislatively securing a special position for one confession in a state with many religions.
