Abstract

This article deals with legal regulation of the management of transboundary rivers
and reservoirs, as well as the problem of improving the water legislation of the Republic
of Kazakhstan in the context of globalization and integration.
Issues of water supply and water pollution are beyond the scope of purely national
problems and it is necessary to solve them at the international level.
The authors conclude that the States need to develop a "concept of use of transboundary
water resources", which would allow them to deal with inter-state water relations on
river basin of strategic and operational character on a bilateral and multilateral basis.
