INTERVIEW AS A COMPONENT OF CIVIL CASE PREPARATION FOR TRIAL

This article analyzes such an element of a civil case preparation for a trial as an interview,
which has not received adequate practical and theoretical justification in the modern
civil process. On the basis of the studied material the author defines its purpose, objectives,
subject composition, as well as its procedure. In addition, it’s proposed to introduce it in the
text of provisions applicable to the interview in order to improve the current Civil Procedure
Code of the Russian Federation. In the end, the author concludes that despite the lack of
regulatory control of the phenomenon, its presence in the case settlement process significantly
contributes to the achievement of the main goal of civil procedure, namely, protection
of violated and disputed rights.
