Abstract

The insufficient development of methodological instructions on sampling in forensic examination of materials, substances, products is shown. Some principal differences in the approaches to the study of forensic objects and objects of non-expert research are considered. It is specified that test methods and, accordingly, sampling methods regulated by the state standards are intended for non-expert studies, they should be adapted to the expert practice. On the example of forensic examination of fibrous materials and products from them, possible ways of solving the issue of sampling from objects are proposed. The principal possibility of using a non-destructive method for this purpose is shown.
