Prospects for producing activated carbons on the CHP
Abstract
The article discusses a promising technology for producing activated carbon by thermal power plants. The cycle of primary production remains the same. The coal combustion technology is used for the generation of the heat. Some of the coal particles are passing key activation steps and are removed from the steam generator during the process. The material is used for own needs of power plants, for example, in the systems of water treatment or recycling of industrial wastewater. Activated carbon has the sorption properties and cleans contaminated waters.
