The article considers possible options for increasing the efficiency of an arc steel-making furnace due to redistribution of the volumes of energy resources used. The comparative analysis of technological parameters for melting various steel grades is carried out. The technique for determining the actual value of the efficiency of a 180-ton arc furnace is considered. The ways to increase the value of the internal efficiency of an arc furnace are proposed by means of the introduction of automatic regulation systems for the volumes of energy resources supplied. The option for regulating the volumes of energy carriers supplied is considered on the basis of analysis of the values of the higher harmonic current components.
