THE STUDY ON THE CAUSES OF CRACKS IN WALLS OF THREE-STOREY RESIDENTIAL BUILDING

Nina Ivanovna Orlova, Oleg Viktorovich Kalinin

Abstract

The article presents the results of a study on the causes of cracks in a three-storey residential building in Zlatoust. The soil investigation is carried out to determine the causes of cracking in building walls. The soils occurred in the active zone of the base are identified. The lenses of man-made “perched water” are revealed. The necessary calculations for determining the parameters of physical and chemical properties of soils are made. The graphic illustrations are given.
It is shown that building foundations are based on different compressible soils, classified as technogenic and deluvial genetic types.
