General information

1. The manuscripts must be submitted through the journal web-site.
2. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject a manuscript, which ignores the requirements for the content and/or formatting of the article.
3. The Editorial Board is not liable to the authors and/or third parties and organizations for possible damage caused by the publication of the article.
4. Publication fees are not charged, and royalties are not paid.

Requirements for the article contents

1. The Editorial Board considers previously unpublished articles that cannot be under review in any other scientific conference or journal. We distinguish two types of articles: a survey (up to 25 pages) and an article (up to 20 pages). The articles exceeding 25 pages can only be considered after prior agreement with the Editorial Board.
2. A survey should contain analysis, comparison, and disclosure of the most important and perspective trends in some scientific direction that conforms to the scope of the journal. A survey should be issue-related and should demonstrate a variety of views on the development of scientific knowledge. It should contain conclusions, synthesis, and summary data.
3. An article depicts the results of a complete or an in-progress scientific research and usually conforms to the following structure.
   

   • Introduction — problems, purpose, and objectives of the research.

   • Related work.

   • Theoretical part — the formal statement of the problem, the description and analytical study of the suggested approaches, methods, and algorithms.

   • Implementation part — the description of the software implementation of your approaches, methods, and algorithms.
   • Experimental part — the results of the computational experiments that prove the validity and efficiency of the suggested models, methods, and algorithms; a comparison of the approach with existing approaches.
   • Conclusion — a short summary of the results of your work, the final conclusions, and directions for future work.

Requirements for the article formatting

1. Articles are to be submitted in the LaTeX2e format. While preparing articles in LaTeX2e it is necessary to use cmi.cls style file. It is recommended to use MiKTeX 2.9 package to perform the layout. Authors may use the following template to speed up the process of formatting: example.zip (PDF version).
2. Page settings: The pages should have 297×210 mm size (А4 format). All the margins should be of the same size — 25 mm. Headers, footers, and page numbering are prohibited.
3. The main text of the article should use Computer Modern Unicode (CMU) family fonts that are default in TeX packages.
4. Structure of the article. The article has the following structure:
   
   • UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) index;
   • title;
   • list of authors;
   • abstract;
   • keyword list;
   • the text of the article;
   • information about grants;
   • references;
   • information about authors.
5. If the article is performed in English, then the following items should be added after the items above (if the authors are not Russian-native speakers then they can ask help from the Editorial Board):
   
   • title, translated into Russian;
   • author list, translated into Russian;
   • abstract, translated into Russian;
   • list of keywords, translated into Russian;
   • references.
6. The Universal Decimal Classification index of the article should correspond with its scientific content (see UDC reference book).
7. The title of the article is typed in bold CMU Serif 14 pt. with left alignment. All the letters in the title should be capitalized. Hyphenations are not allowed in the title.
8. The author list is typed in italic bold CMU Serif 12 pt. with left alignment and is separated from the title with a blank line of 6 pt. Authors are listed with separation by commas, initials are written before the last name.
9. The abstract is top separated with a blank line of 12 pt. The left margin is 22 mm. The abstract is designed by the CMU Serif font 9 pt. with justified alignment, without the «Abstract» word in the beginning. The abstract is presented as one paragraph with a red line of 7 mm. The size of the abstract should be from 150 to 250 words.
10. The keyword list is not top separated from the abstract. The left margin is 22 mm. The keyword list is typed by the CMU Serif italic font 9 pt. with justified alignment. At the beginning of the list phrase «Keywords: » is written, and further words and (or) phrases are separated by commas. The keyword list is presented as one paragraph with a red line of 7 mm. The size of the keyword list should be from 3 to 10 words.
11. The text of the article is typed in CMU Serif 11 pt. with automatic hyphenation. Each paragraph has justified alignment, single line spacing and is not separated from the rest of the text. All the paragraphs (including the first paragraph after 1-3 level heading) begin with a 7 mm red line.
12. Headings. There are three levels of headings. Headings are left-aligned and separated from the main text with a blank line of 6 pt. Heading should be on the same page as the coming paragraph. Do not place a full stop at the end of a heading.
13. First-level headings are typed in bold CMU Serif 14 pt. All the first-level headings, except the introduction, conclusion, and bibliography, are numbered with Arabic numerals with a dot after a number, e.g. «1.».
14. Second-level headings are typed in bold CMU Serif 12 pt. and numbered with Arabic numerals with a dot at the end, e.g. «2.1.».
15. Third level headings are typed in italic CMU Serif 12 pt. and numbered with Arabic numerals with a dot at the end, e.g. «3.1.2.».
16. Source code is presented as a text typed in Courier New 10 pt. with the Fig. caption. Please use tabs to depict the nesting of language constructions.
17. Definitions, formulae, propositions, lemmas, and theorems should be formatted as separate paragraphs and should be numbered starting from one in order of appearance. The formula number should be placed at the right edge and enclosed in parentheses. Explain all the new symbols after the formula in order of their appearance.
18. Each figure should have a caption, typed by font 11 pt., with top and bottom 6 pt. separation, it should begin with the bold keyword «Fig. <Number of the figure>», which is followed by the not bold title of the figure. Caption situates under the figure. Numeration of figures is through. The caption should not be ended by the full stop. It is allowed to use black-white and gray-scale figures (if it does not lead to information loss) with the resolution not less than 300 dpi. It is recommended to place figures near their first reference. Please do not break the page between a figure and its caption (you can move the figure up or down the page to eliminate this kind of break). The only figure in the article should not have the number in the caption. Cross-references to the only figure should not use numbers. 
19. Graphs are presented as figures. Axis should be named. Arrows indicate the direction of the increasing of corresponding quantities. Experimental data (except the data from recorders) generally are displayed as dots with confidence intervals. Data of theoretical calculations (if results are not discrete values) are usually shown by solid curves.
20. Every table should be centered and have a caption, typed by font 11 pt., with top and bottom separation 11 pt., it should begin with the bold keyword «Table <Number of the table>». Caption situates above the table, left-aligned, and is followed by the table's name, typed in regular font. Numeration of tables is through. The caption should not be ended by the full stop. It is recommended to place tables near their first reference. Please do not break the page between a table and its caption (you can move the table up or down the page to eliminate this kind of break). 
21. Footnotes are placed at the bottom of the page, typed by font size 9 pt. with justified alignment and numbered with Arabic numerals. It is not allowed to use footnotes for references/citations.
22. Cross-references should be placed in square brackets and listed in ascending order, separated by commas or dashes, for example: «[1]», «[2, 4, 7]», «[3–9]», «[1, 7 9]». In cross-references to tables and figures reduction permanent part of their captions are used, starting with a lowercase letter and number, for example: «shown in fig. 1», «depicted in tab. 2».
23. Information about grants is top separated by a single 12 pt. blank line and, typed by 11 pt. CMU Serif font, italic, with justified alignment. Information about grants is presented as a single paragraph with a 7 mm red line.
24. The reference list starts with the keyword «References», typed as a first-level heading without a number. Elements of a reference list are typed by 11 pt. CMU Serif font with justified alignment and are numbered in Arabic numerals, for example, «1.». Sources in the reference list must be sorted in the order of their appearance in the text. Each reference should be provided with its DOI (if applicable). Examples:

25. Information about the authors is top separated with a blank line of 12 pt. and designed as paragraphs of the main text. Information about each author is presented as a separate paragraph. Authors surname, name, academic degree, place of work (division and organization) with given in parentheses city and country, e-mail address are enumerated here with commas. After the information about the last co-author horizontal line of standard thickness, top and bottom separated by a single 12 pt. a blank line is placed.
26. In translation a title into Russian bold 14 pt. CMU Serif font is used. The title should be left‑aligned, typed with capital letters only, without hyphenations.
27. Translation of the list of authors into Russian is separated from the title by one 12 pt. blank line and designed by bold italic 12 pt. CMU Serif font with left alignment. Each line has the following information about one of the authors: initials and last name typed with bold font, after the comma place of work fully (division and organization) with given in parentheses city and country in regular font. Information about co-authors is separated with commas, a final full stop is not needed.
28. Translation of the abstract into Russian is top separated by one 12 pt. blank line. The left margin has 22 mm in width. The abstract is designed by the CMU Serif font 9 pt. with justified alignment. Word «Аннотация» should not be written in the beginning. The abstract is presented as one paragraph with a red line of 7 mm. The size of the abstract should be from 150 to 250 words.
29. Translation of the keyword list into Russian is not separated from the abstract. The left margin is 22 mm in width. The keywords list is designed by the CMU Serif italic font 9 pt. with justified alignment. At the beginning of the list phrase «Ключевые слова: » is written, and further words and (or) phrases are enumerated and separated by commas. The keyword list is presented as one paragraph with a red line of 7 mm. The size of the keyword list should be from 3 to 10 words.
30. Translation of the Reference list into Russian starts with a keyword «Литература», designed as first-level heading without a number. Elements of a reference list are designed by 11 pt. CMU Serif font with justified alignment and are numbered in Arabic numerals, for example, «1.». If an article, mentioned in the reference list, is translated into Russian and is published in the Russian version of the article, then it is necessary to give a reference to the translated version of the article.
31. Miscellaneous rules

• In the main text quotation marks « and » are used (instead of " and ", etc.).
• Hyphen stays in composite words, in other cases long dash is used. For example: «synthesis of new radioactive elements, made by Joliot-Curie spouses» (double last name), «Boyce—Codd normal form» (two last names). Short dash is used to specify a range of dates or pages, for example, «in research [1, 5–7]». 
• Abbreviations of multiple words are separated by non-breaking spaces, except commonly used, such as "745 mm Hg", "i.e.".
• For writing the dates format DD.MM.YYYY is used, for example, 05.05.2012, 02.03.1971.

Submission of the article

To submit an article it is necessary to do the following:

1. Register on the website of the journal as an author (if have not done yet).
2. Follow the link [New Submission] and confirm that the submitting article complies with the requirements of the journal for contents and formatting.
3. Upload a text of the article as one file in PDF format.
4. Enter metadata of the article (authors, title, abstract, keywords, references).

Submission of the camera-ready version of the article

In case the article is accepted for publication, authors should do the following

1. Upload the final version of the article as a supplementary *.zip archive, which should contain *.tex file(s) and image files (in one of the following formats: EPS, PDF, PNG, or JPG).

2. Send the following supporting documents to the editorial office by regular mail:

• copy of the article, signed by each co-author on the front page;
• two copies of the contract (an example in MS Word);
• agreement on personal data processing (an example PDF) from each co-author (if this co-author has not registered this document yet).
