Series “Social Sciences and the Humanities” was created in 2001. Presently four issues are published every year.
The scientific concept of the edition implies publication of materials about modern achievements in such fields as:
- History, Archaeology, Historiography;
- Social Science;
- Art and Culture;
- Literature Studies;
- Journalism.
The journal accepts original articles, results of experimental research, and review-and-analytical papers for publication. Papers in Russian and in English are accepted. Publication is free of charge.
By the decision of the Presidium of the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles of the Russian Federation Ministry of Education and Science, the journal has been included in the List of the Leading Peer-reviewed Scientific Journals and Editions, in which the Main Scientific Results of the Dissertations Shall Be Published for Obtaining a Doctoral Degree or a Degree of a Candidate of Sciences, in the following research lines and the relevant fields of science:

22.00.05 — Political Sociology (Social Sciences),
22.00.06 — Culture Sociology (Social Sciences).
Manuscripts should be submitted in an electronic format via the journal’s web-site.
Authors should register and log into their personal account.
The journal is released once every three months.
