About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Series “Linguistics” of South Ural State University Bulletin was founded in 2004. Nowadays it is published two times a year.
Series “Linguistics” seeks to provide a platform for publishing new studies of scholars (Russian Federation, Ural region, foreign countries, CIS). Series “Linguistics” aims at
- keeping our audience informed of advances in the field;
- exchanging new scientific ideas;
- informing our audience of important events (congresses, conferences, books, textbooks publishing) in the field of linguistics;
- publishing results of young scholars’ researches, etc.
We invite articles that have common purposes and goals with the Bulletin of South Ural State University, Series “Linguistics”.

The journal invites contributions which explore the implications of current research for establishing common theoretical frameworks within which findings from different areas of study may be accommodated and interrelated.
Peer Review Process
Prepublication review of the articles (hereinafter referred to as articles), submitted for publication by the authors in periodical «Bulletin of SUSU, Series „Linguistics“», is done in accordance with the following rules.
Document flow in the process of prepublication review.
- The articles submitted in accordance with the requirements are sent for prepublication review to publish them in «Bulletin of SUSU, Series "Linguistics"».
- The article is sent for prepublication review to the specialist in the corresponding sphere (hereinafter referred to as reviewer), who has the degree of Doctor of Science. A member of the editorial board cannot be a reviewer.
- The period for prepublication review is up to one month starting from the moment of the article submission.
- Within 2 weeks from the moment of getting a review the editorial board considers the review and makes a reasoned decision on the necessity to make any correction work of the article or possibility/impossibility to publish the article.
- The reasoned decision of the editorial board is given to the author within a week of it being made.
Form and content of review.
- The review is issued as a document of A4 format, 14 points font, line spacing in the paragraph is single with the margins of 2 cm.
- The review has a title of the following type: Review of the article (the title of the article) by (the author names).
- The text of the review includes:
- the relevance of the problems;
- novelty and value of the given methods of solution;
- the level of novelty of scientific results;
- practical relevance of the results;
- style of presentation and literacy;
- structure of the article.
- the possibility (practicality) of publishing the article in the periodical;
- the possibility of publishing the article after error correction;
- the impossibility (impracticality) of publishing the article.
- The review finishes with a final summary of advantages and disadvantages of the article.
- The review makes a conclusion about:
- The signature and the full name of the reviewer with his degree and position should follow the text of the review.

By the decision of Presidium of State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation the periodical is included in «Catalogue of leading reviewed academic periodicals and publications which publish basic scientific results of thesis for Candidate and Doctor of Science».
The periodical is included in Research Reports and Data base of All-Russian Institute of Scientific and Engineering Information (VINITI).
Information about published articles is reported to the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) regularly presented in the prescribed form.
Information about the articles is annually placed in the international reference systems for periodicals «Ulricht's Periodicals Directory».
Subscription index of academic periodical «Bulletin of SUSU, Series «Linguistics» in the unit catalogue «Press of Russia» is 29016.

Publication ethics of a journal
Publication policy of the journal is based on traditional ethical principles of the Russian scientific periodicals and is built in terms of ethical norms of editors and publishers work stated in Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers, developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). In the course of publishing editorial board of the journal is led by international rules for copyright protection, statutory regulations of the Russian Federation as well as international standards of publishing. The editorial board recommends the authors to follow the rules and examples of the documents when submitting articles.
- The article should be in printed or electronic version in Russian or English languages. The electronic version should be identical to the printed one. The printed version should have the signatures of all the authors.
- The article submitted to the periodical should present a complete scientific research and include new scientific results.
- It is forbidden to publish the articles previously published or sent for publication to other periodicals. The author is responsible for the content of the article. The editorial board is entitled to withdraw a published article if there is an evidence of the fact that within publication the rights and general accepted rules of scientific ethics are infringed. The editorial board must inform the author of withdrawal.
- Printed version is followed by:
— the act of expert examination about the possibility of publication in public media;
— non-exclusive license agreement of granting the right to use the article;
— agreement for processing of personal data.
The license agreement is to be compiled in 2 copies for the co-authors. The agreement for processing of personal data is to be in one copy. Signing the license agreement the author guarantees the fact that the article is the original version written by the author. He also ensures the granted rights do not infringe the rights of other people or companies.
- Chief Editor conducts the policy of prevention and control of publishing conflicts.
- The printed version is to be followed by the information about the author who wrote the article and cooperates with the editorial board in the process of submission the article for publishing, contact telephone and e-mail for feedback.
- The editorial board is not responsible for artistic, literary or any other types of correction of the articles.
- The decision on acceptance of the article for publication is made by the editorial board on the basis of the expert review of the same or related field of study. Final date of acceptance of the article for publication is the date of acceptance of the article with necessary corrections in accordance with the comments of a reviewer. If the authors ignore the comments of the reviewer to make necessary error corrections of the article, the article will not be published. The authors can give reasons for refusal to follow recommendations of the reviewer in the written form. In case of disagreement of the reviewer with the authors the article is not published, the authors are notified about it by the official letter with grounds for refusal to publish the article in the present form. Publication ethics provides fair and objective reviewing process free of business interest and market needs.
- The editorial board has the right not to accept articles that are submitted with deviations from the rules.
- Articles which are not accepted for publication as well as accompanying documents are returned.
- Submission of an article to the editor of the periodical “Bulletin of the SUSU” signifies the agreement of the authors to accept the rules and place full a version of the article to the Internet on the Internet on the official web-site of Scientific on-line library eLIBRARY.RU, and in the section of South Ural State University “Bulletin of the SUSU” for free access as well as to use personal data in public media.
Fees to authors
Bulletin of the South Ural State University series Linguistics is a non-profit journal. APC is charged to authors to cover the range of provided editing, proofreading, and publishing services. APC is paid only after the manuscript was peer-reviewed and editorially accepted for publication.
Article Processing Charge: 280.00 (RUB) per one page of the article.
