The aim of the article is to analyze the concept “Human behavior” from the point of view of the implementation of its main characteristics on the basis of English verbs. This concept is most optimally verbalized through verbs, although the possibilities of verbalization of this concept are not limited only to this part of speech. The author has examined the most well-known existing classifications of verbs according to the following criteria: meaningfulness, transitivity and nature of action; concreteness / abstractness; models of morpheme compatibility, material content, evaluative and lexico-grammatical content. The article presents a classification of English verbs reflecting the concept “human behavior” and the main principles underlying it. The group of behavior verbs in the English language reflects the main behavioral characteristics of the ethnic group and forms a separate fragment of the linguistic worldview, a detailed study of which will help to reveal the specific implementations of the concept under study in the English language.References
