Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the opportunities of the sublanguage as a tool to facilitate the learning of English, using one of the elements of the phenomenological approach of Edmund Husserl. The paper analyzes the contradiction between traditional teaching methods that do not try to smooth out the discrepancy between Russian grammatical constructions and English grammatical constructions, which no longer correspond to the need for rapid and effective mastering of English speech in the context of globalization. The research problem is to facilitate the transformation of the native language into English, the object is the process of learning English, and the subject is the sublanguage as a reflection of the grammatical world of a native speaker. The purpose of the study is to determine the role of the sublanguage as a tool aimed at simplifying the learning of spoken English, considering it as a phenomeno logical understanding of the native speaker thinking. The hypothesis consists in that the use of a sublanguage, which is a “simplified version of the expression of English in Russian”, contributes to a more effective transition from the native language to English. The article provides an inventory of existing means aimed at teaching English speaking, identifies their shortcomings, defines the concept and structure of a sublanguage as a result of eidetic reduction, analyzes its role in simplifying the learning, and provides practical examples of using a sublanguage in the learning process. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the application of Husserl's phenomenological approach to the analysis of the role of the sublanguage, substantiating it as a tool that facilitates acquiring the English speaking skills, and developing a theoretical basis for a “simplified version of the expression of English in Russian”.
