This article examines the phenomenon of cooperative discourse in the People's Republic of China as a special form of verbal interaction in which the achievement of business goals is combined with the maintenance of interpersonal and social harmony. The aim of the study is to systematically analyze the pragmatic strategies underlying Chinese cooperative discourse and to identify the logic of their functioning in the context of cultural and social norms. The empirical material comprises transcripts of official business negotiations, speeches, and press conferences of Chinese politicians from 2018 to 2023. The methodological framework is formed by linguistic and pragmatic analysis, which includes elements of discourse analysis, the theory of speech acts, the concept of politeness and approaches that account for the influence of collectivist culture on linguistic behavior. By analyzing common pragmatic principles, politeness strategies, and the contextual dependence of Chinese communication on the linguistic structure, this article demonstrates, how Chinese cooperative discourse can maintain social harmony and promote group harmony by ensuring effective information transfer and dynamic relationship coordination. As a result, key strategies were identified: mitigation strategies focus on a collective subject, active use of culturally labeled references, and "face" management. The research concludes that Chinese cooperative discourse is not merely a speech tactic, but a deeply rooted cultural practice aimed at building meaning together and dynamically regulating relationships through language. The author believes that Chinese cooperative discourse is embodied not only as cooperation in a linguistic form, but also as a deep cultural practice, the essence of which is the joint construction of meaning, relationship orientation, and communication regulation.References
