Abstract

The present article is concerned with the principle of forming subordinate concepts of
the macroconcept “weapon”. The main conceptual features helping in forming new concepts
are form, name, way of nomination of an animal. Conceptual features mentioned
above form derivational knots that have different derivational potential, the form and the
way being the knots with the greatest derivational potential.
