FEATURES OF FOREIGN POLICY METAPHORS FUNCTIONING

The paper discusses the role of conceptual metaphor in the foreign policy discourse
which is its part and parcel. Conceptual metaphor is a universal tool of a politician by
which he influences and manipulates public consciousness to solve his own problems. Conceptual
metaphor is a derivative of political struggle and the means of comprehension of
foreign policy as it reflects the situation in the world.
