FROM THE HISTORY OF FUNCTIONING OF THE PREPOSITION ПО IN OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS (THE SECOND HALF OF THE XVIIIth CENTURY – THE BEGINNING OF THE XIXth CENTURY)

Abstract

The present article is devoted to the analysis of semantics and functioning of the prototypal
preposition “ПО” in the official documents belonging to the second half of the
XVIIIth century and the beginning of the XIXth century. The author presents a system of
prepositional group meanings and analyzes governing verbs and governed nouns.
