Abstract

The process of comprehensive assessment of students’ skills is an important aspect of higher education. The currently used local four-point assessment system is a flexible system that takes into account many aspects of academic and organizational activities of students. This leads to the research relevance of the existing varieties of the knowledge and skills assessment systems and the possibility of its application to the military training of students. The aim of the article is to develop the rating assessment system to define the students’ competence obtained in the educational process at military department. The research subject is the application of rating assessment technologies, based on statistics study of students’ group current results during one term. As a result, we adjusted the rating assessment system estimating students’ knowledge and skills. The research results prove the possibility of rating system successful application within the military department education. The outcomes of the research can be used for the development of military-technical curriculum.
