Abstract

The problem of protecting the child’s rights has always been relevant. The child always has needs, care and support from the state and society. This article is devoted to one of the most important state-legal problems of Russia – the rights of a child guaranteed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The statistical data confirming the urgency of this problem were presented. The subject and empirical basis of the research were determined, the research objectives were formulated. International, Russian regulatory documents were studied, the literature on the problem of the child’s rights and their protection was analyzed. The key concepts – “childhood”, “rights of the child”, and “protection of the rights of the child” were defined. The prospects for further research were given.
