The analysis of some numerical methods application for the solution of multicomponent media mechanics tasks

Abstract

This paper analyzes the possibility of using computational methods using the total energy equation, a numerical study of shock wave propagation in heterogeneous twophase media. To this end, an analysis of invariance under a Galilean transformation of the conservation equations describing flow in aerosuspension was held. This means that the numerical methods based on the solution of the equation of conservation of total energy (for example, “the method of large particles”) can not be applied at present in solving problems related to flow computations for Air-Suspensions. The results of calculations of Air-Suspensions conducted by these methods can not be considered reliable.
