Abstract

In this article historico-analitical idea of the problem of formation of the notion “media educational competence of students” is given in a new state for pedagogical theory – on the basis of genesis of central notions “media education”, “media educational” and “competence” with distinguishing historical stages and description of dynamics of scientific views on each of them. The author’s interpretation of the notion “media educational competence” is proposed.
