Abstract

In accordance with the competency-based education paradigm competencies play a significant role in the design of the educational process. It is shown that the competencies are used to formulate the goals and tasks of the educational process, its expected results. They are also used as the criteria for monitoring and evaluating the results. Knowledge and skills required for the performance of innovation competencies determine the choice of content, methods and forms of the educational process organization. In general, it indicates that the competency model of innovation activity, built in accordance with the requirements of educational standards, serves as the basis of design of the correspondingly directed educational process.
