Abstract

Reforms of higher professional education and local universities’ striving for entering the world educational environment resulted in reconsideration of the established practice of assigning the quality of projecting the main component of educational process that is the basic educational program. The analysis of the traditional domestic methodology and the foreign practice became the core of the new integrated methodology of assigning the quality of projecting basic educational programs: the quality is viewed as a degree of corresponding to the aims of projecting, to the expectations of the consumers of educational services and as a degree of correspondence of the results for realization of the project to the best educational practices; the criteria and the quality index are presented in the three directions, diagnostic methodologies are offered. The article may be of use for teachers-practitioners drawn to projecting and implementation of the basic educational programs in a university and for organizations of experts taking part in the assessment of education quality in universities.
