Abstract

Any language describes a spatial arrangement of objects statically and dynamically. One of the obstacles while learning a foreign language is the misuse of spatial placement of objects by the second language means. The Chinese language differs considerably from the Russian one by means of representation of the spatial relations. The research was conducted to compare these differences to consider them later in teaching both Chinese and Russian. The features of languages revealed should be considered in teaching.
