Abstract

The focus on global problems and the spread of the concept of sustainable development in the sphere of
public administration and business has led to the emergence of a new direction in the strategic planning of
business structures - formation of strategies for sustainable development, namely organizational strategies
that integrate the concept of sustainable development. The level of such integration in Russian companies is
very different and depends on many factors: the size of companies (large corporations are more focused on
sustainable development than small firms); proximity to the company and its businesses to global problems
(for example, energy companies are primarily focused on sustainable development than companies producing
consumer goods); attitude of managers and top management to the problems of sustainable development, etc.
The article presents the results of a study on drivers of formation of orientation of Russian companies in sustainable
development.
